What exactly are GRP Roofs?
GRP roofs are made from osb3 board, prepared with fibreglass or pvc trim, then matting and resin is layered and top-coat is applied.
Roofs can be coloured in several different options such as a lead or copper look alike and over 100 other colours to chose from..
GRP is Glass reinforced polyester,which was mainly 1st used in the 1950 to make boats, as it has great anti corrosive properties. Since then GRP is widely used on many projects, such as ponds, flat roofs, industrial flooring and walls.
There are a number of RNLI lifeboats are completely made out of GRP. The are mainly used in heavy weather for inshore rescues. GRP is also widely used in the car industry.
